Architectural design features

Wuzhen Internet International Convention and Exhibition Center is located in the northwest of Wuzhen Xizha Scenic Area, with the canal to the west, Huanhe Road to the east, and Xizha Scenic Area to the south. The total construction area is about 60,000 square meters. Wuzhen Internet International Convention and Exhibition Center is not only the main venue for the Future World Internet Conference, but also the main venue for meetings and exhibitions in Wuzhen Scenic Spot in the future.

Wuzhen Internet International Convention and Exhibition Center was led by the well-known architect Mr. Wang Shu. It is located in the northwest of Wuzhen Xizha Scenic Area. With the design concepts of simplicity, environmental protection, and wisdom, the architectural style of Wuzhen Internet International Convention and Exhibition Center fully considers Internet elements, traditional Chinese culture and the characteristics of Jiangnan water towns. According to the current topography, the overall layout is in a "U" shape. The plan connects the two wings of the exhibition center and conference center through the reception center, symbolizing the open, inclusive, interconnected, and shared Internet spirit of Wuzhen as the host of the World Internet Conference.

Lighting design application

The lighting design of this project was completed by Zhejiang Urban Construction Planning and Design Institute Co., Ltd., and the lighting provider Roladis also played a very important role in the Wuzhen Internet International Convention and Exhibition Center.

Wuzhen is a famous historical and cultural town located in the south of the Yangtze River. It has a beautiful city, a gathering of humanities and a long history. Overall speaking, the brightness of Wuzhen at night is not high, mainly surface light; the light color is a combination of cold and warm, but mostly warm light. In order to give people a good visual enjoyment at night, the design team takes the human perspective as the main line to lay out and control the light. Aiming at the U-shaped shape of the Wuzhen Internet Exhibition Center, warm color lighting is used to give the architectural landscape aura, highlighting the crisscrossing of rivers, pavilions and terraces, and the ancient banks, water pavilions and corridors, forming a unique Jiangnan water town style, revealing endless Charm. Walking into the exhibition center at night, like embracing a well-behaved and ingenious classical Jiangnan girl, it is novel, warm, joyful and sweet.

Integrating Wuzhen's history and culture and the contemporary development of the Internet, the lighting design of each area of the Wuzhen Internet Exhibition Center follows three major concepts: Shadow overlapping, delicate attic, Jiangnan Water Town, and the Internet World.

Convention center

In order to show vitality of the conference center, the tile drape on the facade of the conference and exhibition center adopts a warm white 12W 2700K CCT LED low-power line lamp, allowing light to penetrate from the interior, creating a gentle and gentle color And artistic conception.

Walking into the exhibition center at night is like embracing a well-behaved, classical Jiangnan girl, which makes people feel novel, warm, joyful and sweet.

The design of the exhibition center emphasizes the point-to-point interest, which fully demonstrates the simple beauty of the Eastern style. When dealing with the relationship between the entrance of the exhibition center and the surrounding environment, Roleds adopted an underground installation, pre-burying the LED module floodlights at the entrance, so that the light radiated quietly from under the feet, and naturally created the center’s Sense of depth.

The exhibition center is made up of 51,000 steel cables. The lighting design team hopes to achieve the silhouette effect of "light coming through from the inside", showing the characteristics of Wuzhen. After a large number of on-site lighting tests, I finally chose a lamp with a color temperature of 15W 2700K, which enabled the exhibition center to achieve a subtle and elegant lighting effect; the designers also installed a light box on the metal curtain wall to make it evenly emit warm white light, simple And elegant.

The reception center is the living room of Wuzhen and the "entrance" connecting the world. In order to create a scale and texture that is close to people in a solemn and solemn atmosphere, and to visually blend into the environment, the lighting design of the entire conference center is mainly indirect lighting. Almost all lamps are embedded in the eaves and underground, making the center give People have a warm and harmonious feeling.

In order to show the functionality of the reception center, the light level of the entire center is higher than that of the convention center and exhibition center, giving visitors a clear instruction to enter the reception center through this entrance.

Waterfront corridor

Wuzhen is delicate and warm, with white walls and tiles, small bridges and flowing water. When the stars illuminate the face, meditating on the water's edge, listening to the calls of insects and birds, feel relaxed physically and mentally.

Waterfront Corridor is the main activity space interspersed between the buildings, and it is also a portrayal of the ink painting south of the Yangtze River. In order to make the waterfront corridor better highlight the characteristics of this small town in Wuzhen, the lighting designers used 2200K custom tile surface lights and LED low-power line lights, etc., with light and dark gradients, expressing a kind of elegant, soft and quiet ink. Xiaoqing Tile is one of the characteristics of the Convention and Exhibition Center. The Roleds team worked closely with the lighting design team. They measured the size of the small blue tiles, specially customized the tile surface lights, and went to the scene to test the lights again and again. In order to achieve a good lighting effect, Roleds adjusted the power and size of the tile surface lamp. This lamp can be directly stuck on the tile surface. It is small in size and has the same color as Xiaoqing, so it is not easy to be spotted during the day.

Winding path

The flowing water town features the image of plants. In the lighting design of the area, the designer mainly reflects some night trees, bamboo shoots, etc., and the garden roads, squares, rest pavilions and other elements in the environment make some supplementary lighting. Give stopped tourists a chance to relax.

The reasonable use of the lawn lamp is simple but not eady, and the optical design creates an elegant feeling of heart and soul, and makes people fully relax.

Lighting technology difficulties

In this project, we started with the stability of the lamps during work. Not only did the lamps used pass the third-party inspection of various indicators, the signal wire connectors of the lamps were also treated with hot tin, and the connectors were treated with three-proof insulation and waterproof treatment, and the series connection of lamps was reduced. The single-ended outlet makes it easy to hide the inside of the pipeline. All electrical circuits of lamps and lanterns are laid with galvanized pipes or aluminum alloy trunking to ensure that the power supply leads of the lamps are not damaged by external forces and the flame retardant protection level is better.

At the same time, the lamps and lanterns used in the Wuzhen Internet International Convention and Exhibition Center have been treated with strict anti-glare treatment, and the light distribution effect is very strict. Energy saving and environmental protection

During the implementation of the lighting design of the Wuzhen Internet International Convention and Exhibition Center, Roleds used a knife and a timer control system to achieve different scene effects on weekdays and festivals.
